What Ariana DeBose Can’t Live Without

First of all, I just feel like they sound better. I also love how it hearkens back to the ’90s, the early aughts. Anytime I’m wearing wireless AirPods, I feel like a robot. This is something I grew up with. It’s nostalgic for me.

I’m very specific about how I keep them. It’s very important to keep them organized. I have a system with a little clip to keep the wires together so that they go in my bag without getting tangled. And then it’s just an easy uncoil, plug it in, and there you go.

I love to cook, but that doesn’t mean I’m always very good at it. I could burn Jello at times, but this cookware makes it easy. I’m obsessed with these pots and pans. They’re nontoxic and nonstick. I feel really good about using it because I know it’s safe — I’m not putting any chemicals into my food that aren’t supposed to be there. And it’s also easy cleanup. Although I did learn not to put them in the dishwasher because that nonstick effect will totally go away and then you’ll have to buy new ones. So just don’t do that, but otherwise you’re good to go. I’ve had them for a couple years at this point, and they’re still quite pristine. A lot of pots, you’ll start to see wear and tear, but these are still beautiful.

I love to try the New YorkTimes“Cooking” recipes. You can find recipes that only take 30 minutes, but they’re absolutely delicious. So I’ll do chickpeas with spinach and chili flakes, or I’ll do a chicken dish that has a salsa verde base. I love trying the hard things but also the not-so-hard things.

You know that sort of plump lip look that a lot of people try to get? I don’t personally need to go that route because my lips are quite full — thank you to my good genetics. But my lips are perpetually dry, especially in the winter. I feel like this lip balm makes my lips luscious. I also use it pretty heavily in the summer, especially if I’m outdoors. It tastes and smells good — I don’t think you should eat your lip balm, but you probably could with this one because it’s quite safe. It just gives me an extra glow, an extra feeling of plumpness, an extra shot of moisture. It was in a goody bag that I got as a sample gift, and I tried it for a week and thought,This is too good to let go of.So I went out and bought more.

I have very sensitive eyes, which many eye-makeup removers are not built for. They can be quite oily or even drying at times. This product doesn’t dry my eyes out at all and doesn’t feel like it’s adding extra residue. It has manuka honey in it, so it’s all ingredients that are good for your skin, while still doing the heavy lifting of getting a day’s makeup off of your eyes. I’ve used it for my everyday makeup, and I’ve used it for removing my theater makeup and my on-camera makeup. It does really well across all of those avenues. It’s good to remember that you shouldn’t be, like, mashing things into your eyeballs. The product can be gentle but still effective.

I love this thing. It took me forever to find a juicer that I felt got the best out of a citrus. It gives you more bang for your buck, in terms of getting all the juice. Every morning I have hot lemon water as part of my routine, but I don’t always like to have the pulp in my water. There’s no pulp, no seeds — it holds all of that back, so you’re only getting juice. Oranges — love a fresh-squeezed orange juice. Love a little bit of fresh-squeezed lime, maybe for an evening margarita. It’s great for all of the citruses, and it’s very easy to clean as well.

An acquaintance of mine, Cyrus, came out with this book not too long ago. What I love about it so much is it’s designed so that you have the daily affirmation on the page but there’s also space for you to write. So you can write about what’s coming up for you or something you want work on, or memories that are relevant to the idea that’s on the page. I use this book as a tool for me, especially in the mornings. It sets me up for success and allows me to learn from past experiences or just log that I want to remember this particular affirmation.

I’ve been using it for the last six months. Having a journaling practice has been very good for me in my personal journey with grief. I lost my mom in August 2025, so I’ve been looking for tools that help me process emotions. Grief can manifest in different ways. Sometimes I just wake up grumpy and I’m like,What is this?And I find that journaling will allow me to process the feeling in my body, and I can use the affirmation during the day in case this sensation comes up again.

Brooklinen is just a great company and I fell in love with its sheets about two years ago. They’re exactly how I want to feel when I lie in bed. I like to feel the strands of my sheets — to a point. But I really love this specific blend of percale. I have three sets that I alternate between, and they’ve held up really well in the wash. I have not had to replace them. I have the color Storm, but I also have some of the lighter colors, like Oatmeal and White. They let go of stains pretty easily, which I really like. And they last. There’s no fraying. They still hold that fresh quality, even a couple years in.

I’m a big fan of the brand Foundrae. I love how all the pieces are rooted in intention. And I love the founder, Beth. I just think she’s brilliant, and she’s LGBTQ, like myself. This is more on the luxe side of the scale, but I decided to save up to purchase a piece for myself. I’ve been a very goal-oriented person, and I think now I’m in a chapter of my life where I wanted a piece that would remind me to find joy in the hustle so that you continue to love all the things that you do. To love on your dreams and enjoy your dreams, not just work for your dreams, and find that balance. So that’s what I bought it for.

I bought it not too long ago. I’m very into celebrating new milestones, and I feel like making it out of 2025 was milestone enough. It’s not necessarily something I wear every day, just because it’s expensive and I want to keep it safe and pretty and shiny. But I wear it on days where I’m like,I need to treat myself. I wear my beautiful piece to remind me that, like, I’m worth it.
