What Laura Harrier Can’t Live Without

I will just constantly spray my face with this on the plane. Airplane air is so disgusting and so dry. I always land with a new pimple on my face. I feel like if I’m spraying this, at least it will kill the bacteria that’s landing on my skin. It’s a travel essential for me. I have a little plane bag that I always travel with that’s very dear to me. It has hand sanitizer, eye drops, eye patches, theSisley Black Rose cream mask,and this. It’s my plane-survival kit.

This is a really good shampoo-and-conditioner set. My hair is fine but curly and frizzy at the same time, so it gets greasy and weighed down really quickly if a product feels too heavy. Rōz products don’t do that, and they’re also really moisturizing. The founder is a hairstylist named Mara Roszak, whom I’ve worked with before. I’ve been using these for around a year now.

This is just the best invention. I use it whenever I want to have straight hair because my hair is naturally curly. It’s saved my hair because I don’t have to use as much heat on it, but I can get it to look like I got a blowout on my own. I don’t have to blow-dry my hair, then use the flat iron, then use the curling iron. I’ll just let my hair air-dry and go through with this hot brush, and it looks great. My hair feels way healthier now, actually, because I don’t have to use multiple hot tools on it.

This is just an old-school skin-care secret that I’ve used on and off for many years. I stopped for a while, but I’ve been experiencing lots of breakouts recently, so I got back on it and I’m like,I don’t know why I ever stopped. I’ve remembered just how good it is.

I’m a big fan of Biologique Recherche in general. It just really works for my skin. Whenever I go to the spa in Paris and get a facial there, my skin always looks great. I’m all for natural, clean beauty, but I feel like at a certain point, I personally need a bit more. The products are very clinical and formulated very scientifically. I don’t know the specifics behind everything, obviously, but it doesn’t feel like it’s filled with extra stuff. It’s not the prettiest. It’s just stripped down to the essentials of what you need. The stuff I’d been using was getting a little too harsh on my skin, so I really pared it back, and I’m all in on Biologique at the moment.

I just lost my Kindle last week, so I need to order a new one. It’s so much lighter than carrying around a physical book, and I like to have options of what to read. Sometimes I’ll be gone for weeks at a time, even months at a time. A lot of times I might be someplace where I can’t go buy a new book in English. It’s just amazing to be able to download something in a second and read whatever you want.

Right now I’m reading a book calledHow to Change Your Mind, which is about the science of psychedelics. I’ve been trying to get into more nonfiction and read things that feel a little more educational or academic. But I really love fiction at heart — I usually gravitate toward fiction, honestly. I just love stories and literature.

Rimowa just makes the best suitcase. I got my first Rimowas around a year and a half, two years ago, which isn’t that long, but considering how much I travel, they get a lot of use. It’s a little annoying, because at the airport you see a million other Rimowas, but I’ve found that they just hold up the best. I love the polycarbonate one because it’s a bit lighter. I have all the sizes of them in black. I can fit so much in them — I load them up and pack my whole life into them. They’re definitely battered and have been around the block, but they still hold up.

This bag is just so cute; it’s my favorite piece from the collection. It feels so fun and summery, and it’s the perfect travel essential. I really love a bag that’s on the smaller side. I can run around with it everywhere and not feel as if I’m lugging around a suitcase because I basically live out of a suitcase already. So it’s just the perfect thing to bring for all of your travels this summer.
