The SPF setting spray that actually feels good on her skin

I’ve always hated using sunscreen on my face, especially when I wear makeup. I think we all hate the texture of it. You do your really nice products or you’ll do a nice moisturizer and then you have to slap on sunscreen. To me, it always felt gross. And this one is one I actually want to use, whether I’m wearing makeup or not. It’s a fine, lightweight mist. It’s not greasy. It’s super effortless to apply. We all usually like to do a little spray after all the makeup just to soften it up a bit. And this is like a two-in-one because you’re getting that little glow, that spray that is a little moisturizing, but it’s actually SPF 50. It doesn’t feel like a chore. It leaves you with a really nice natural finish and at the same time you’re getting in your SPF. This was the perfect answer for me for always having SPF on my face. I’ve been using it now for about a year. I’ve gone through so many sunscreens that I just discard and end up never using again. And this one I have rebought multiple times.
The lip liner that makes people think she’s had filler

I like that the shade is universally flattering. It’s really soft. It’s natural. It really is a cheat liner because I overline my lip a little bit, but it’s the exact same color as my lip naturally. So whenever I do a post with this lipstick, people are like, “Oh, too much lip filler.” And it’s like, it’s lipstick. I kind of love that it looks like I actually had lip filler, because it does blow the lip up a little bit. Even when the lipstick or the lip gloss fades a little bit, that line stays in and it really defines the lip. It just adds that perfect little extra thing. I usually do lipstick from the same brand because I love their shades, but you can wear it with anything. I have worn it with different colors, lighter or darker, or just filled in my lip with it and thrown a little lip gloss over it. It looks very natural. So it can look like you’re just wearing lip gloss or you can really do a color. It’s like an extension of your own lip.
Her expensive but effective at-home laser …

LYMA Laser
I resisted getting it for a long time. It’s quite an investment. But it kept popping up everywhere and I finally thought,You know what? I’m gonna do some deep research on this. And it made sense. I looked at it as a long-term investment in skin health and that’s how I justify it. I love that it’s FDA-cleared and clinically studied. It’s meant to stimulate collagen and reduce inflammation. And it has no heat. There’s no pain or downtime.
The results are cumulative. In the beginning you have to use it every day, so I was religiously using it every day for three months. It wasn’t like I was looking to treat one particular thing. At my age, I want everything fixed, you know. All the little issues like discoloration and fine lines. But at the end of those three months, I tell you, I never had more compliments on my skin. I really believe that the core of looking good is skin health. So if your skin isn’t healthy, everything else isn’t going to work. This, I believe, got my skin to look just so healthy that people were commenting on theskin. Nothing drastic. It didn’t look like I did a procedure or anything. But you could see the glow and a little bit of plumpness. It was subtle, but definitely noticeable. And it was the first time that I was getting those kinds of comments.
… and the glowy oil she uses with it

This was an accidental discovery. It came in a gift bag and I looked into it because I didn’t know what it was. It’s that sweet spot between performance and gentleness. It’s like a plant-based retinol alternative. I was already using retinol creams, so I thought this would be a great thing to use with my LYMA laser, because they recommend using an oil and I didn’t get the oil that it comes with. But I had this and I said, “Oh, I’ll just use this so that it can help the device slide better over the skin.” I just loved the glow it gave me. I loved waking up with my skin still completely glowy and moisturized. It wasn’t like the product got lost in the pillow or super absorbed. Sometimes you put on a really dewy product and you wake up and it’s completely gone. Your face looks dry. This really lasts. So I just started using it more and I reordered a bunch. Now I even put a drop into my foundation before I apply it. It’s a great little glow oil that actually is a slight performance product as well. It’s gotpeptides, so your skin feels a little smoother. It feels a little bit firmer, and there’s no irritation at all.
The powder that covers her grays between salon appointments

I call this a beauty hero, I swear by it. I started using it because I needed to. I was desperately looking for something to extend my base color. I keep getting grayer and grayer, so rather than rushing into the salon every two weeks, I can now extend it by an extra week and a half. And if I’m traveling, I don’t feel like I have to be wearing a hat. The powder disguises the roots. And even if you have any thinning areas — and I know, when the gray hair comes in, it tends to look like you’re thinning because the hair is almost see-through — it really fills in. I like it better than the sprays because it’s much lighter, it’s much more natural-looking. It’s not chalky, it’s not flat. You can soften it up, you can really go into the hairline. It’s really fast, it’s discreet, and it saves me money and stress. If I can’t get to the salon and I have events or I’m going out, I don’t have to worry like,Oh, I have to put on this horrible spray again that’s going to end up on my pillows and look gross.
Her all-time favorite mascara

I’ve been using this mascara for so many years and it’s still my go-to, even though I’ve tried othermascarasthat I hear that people say are good, or the newer ones that come on the market. And sure, some of them are good, but not as good as this one for me, because I do the lash curl and this holds the curl. Most mascaras will soften that curl. This really defines lashes. There’s no clumping, there’s no smudging. It holds the curl, it lasts through the day. It doesn’t flake. And it gives me that wide-eyed, really nice polished finish.
It’s easy to get off because I don’t use the waterproof. The waterproof definitely stays put. But the older I get, the more I find my lashes are much more sensitive. They fall out easier. And so, I also use theLatisse lash serum. I do really take care of my lashes because I think that when you have good lashes, you naturally look younger. That’s one thing that I think women often overlook. Take care of your lashes and your eyebrows. Use the serums, but don’t mess it up with really strong and damaging mascara. So this is perfect for me, because it comes off easily.
Plant-based fake meat she feels good about eating
I don’t eat any meat. But I still like to make all my dishes. I still want to get my protein. The problem with a lot of meat alternatives is that you really have to use them carefully, because they’re not always great for you. They can have a lot of processed things, so you use them once in a while as a treat, right? Well, this one has no ultra-processed anything. It’s whole food ingredients. It’s got that really good ground meat texture and flavor. It doesn’t really feel like a substitute. It’s a satisfying protein for me. And I can use it every day if I want to. There’s a chorizo one, there’s an Italian-sausage crumble, and then there’s just a ground-beef crumble and they’re all really good. It’s all made with olive oil and really good whole proteins. So it was great for me to find this as an alternative because I feel good about eating it. You don’t even have to be vegetarian. I think everyone is trying to get more protein, but even if you’re a meat eater and you’re like,I don’t want to be eating meat every day, this is great to mix in.
Her newest wellness obsession

This is a recent discovery. I’ve been using it for about six months. And I love it. I bought another one and gave it to my sister. This is another thing that kept popping up in my feed and I was like,Okay, fine. I give in, I’ll do theresearch. And it turns out it really does support bone health, and muscle recovery. And it’s great for lymphatic drainage. I love lymphatic drainage. I’m a big fan of lymphatic massages. I’ve been getting them for a long time. I do see a difference with bloating. I know that as a 59-year-old woman, my bone health is at risk. It must become a focus at my age and knowing that this supports that is great. I have it upstairs in my gym. I’ll do arm weights on it, I do planks on it, I do sit-ups on it — I don’t just stand on it. I’ll put it in front of the pull machine and stand on it and do my squats and my pulls. And I feel like I got more of a workout than when I don’t use it.
Her Daisy Fuentes teddy-bear sweaters

There are a lot of versions of a really comfy, warm teddy-bear sweater. We just wanted to make our own version that isn’t expensive, because a lot of them can get very expensive. It’s a microfiber blend, and it’s really warm. It feels like a super soft, fuzzy, comfy sweater. I wear them on the planes because they’re warm and they’re really light. I have all different colors. And when I’m at home, even when I’m just wearing pajamas, instead of wearing a robe, I’ll throw a nice fuzzy sweater over it. It looks chic. I’ve given them to all my friends and family and everyone is equally obsessed. Every time I run into people or go into my friends’ homes, they’re all wearing it and they’re like, “I can’t take it off because it’s so comfy.”
It’s been a reorder every year because it sells out. We just update the styles and the colors and the shapes. I most often wear one that is a mix of black, beige, and white squares. And then I have one that is all black that actually looks like a lady jacket, with the buttons and the pockets, but it’s a teddy bear sweater. So it’s a little bit more chic but just as comfy.
[Editor’s note: The Daisy Fuentes teddy-bear sweaters are currently only available in-store at Burlington Coat Factory and Ross Dress for Less.]
