Her preferred wearable

Oura Ring 4
I am actually late to the game with wearables, admittedly. I recently got my Oura ring and I’m totally obsessed with it. I’m a classic Virgo, A student, and I think my trepidation initially was I didn’t wanna get bad scores when I lead a very physically demanding life. So I was thinking,Oh gosh, if my HRV is trash or if it says I didn’t sleep well, what am I gonna do? Like not teach a Peloton class or not parent my kids? But I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it is to not only train with it but also use the data points selectively. I get a little bit jarred with things that are constantly notifying me. I like that I can dip into the data when I want it and then leave it alone when I don’t.
I definitely pay attention to HRV. The sleep insights are very interesting. I find that it’s usually in alignment with how I’m feeling. But sometimes I am ready to go for the day and it’s like,Hey, you seem a little stressed, do you wanna take a nap?And I’m like,No, babe, ain’t got no time for that.So I think it’s still important to anchor these wearables. I want my intuition to still be the loudest voice. I am seeing what that relationship continues to look like the longer I wear it. It’s definitely still learning me. And a side note to the Oura ring: Logan Hollowell is a jeweler; I think she’s in L.A. She sells fine jewelry that goes over the Oura ring, and Iordered myself one. It’s like a full-on golden diamond ring that goes over the Oura ring. It was a holiday present to myself, and I have no regrets.
Nondairy protein yogurt …

Kite Hill Protein yogurt has the best macros of any nondairy yogurt out there. A lot of nondairy yogurt doesn’t necessarily have protein like traditional dairy varieties. And so I really love Kite Hill. Most flavors have 15 grams of protein per serving. I usually have some variation of Kite Hill in my bag at all times. We use it in ourNinja Creami, which is the next thing on my list. I just love how adaptable it is. I use it in place of sour cream, I use it in savory dishes, I use it in sweet dishes, and it’s great on its own. When I’m teaching classes or in between training sessions, that’s a go-to. And in the afternoon, if I’m hungry at three and not eating dinner till five, that’s what I grab.
… and a Ninja Creami to turn it into protein ice cream

So listen, living in a New York City apartment, I am always hesitant to bring in a new appliance. As much as I cook, I don’t even have a mixer because there’s no room. When we were gifted the Ninja Creami from my dad for Christmas, I was like,Oh my gosh, where are we gonna put this? But we actually keep it out because we use it so much. When I was pregnant with my son, the Ninja Creami protein ice cream became a daily staple. It’s so easy to make. We’ll throw in protein yogurt, like the Kite Hill, and some fruit. But the easiest way to do it is anEvolve— the dairy-free, vegan protein shake. Throw frozen fruit in with that. Both vanilla and chocolate are great. The chocolate with cherries: elite. The kids — I have a 2-year-old and 5-year-old — are obsessed with it. They are convinced it’s ice cream.
Tofu to go

Air-fried tofu is one of my go-to purse snacks. Again, in addition to the Kite Hill, I have it with me at all times. It’s especially great for travel because I can put it in foil and it’ll last a few days. I like the extra-firm to air-fry it. And then I like thesilken varietiesif I’m gonna be doing any kind of desserts, or sometimes I’ll use the silken variety and make a savory pasta sauce to up the protein that way. But usually my go-to during the week when I’m making bowls and sandwiches is air-fried or broiled.
The sunrise alarm clock she and her kids use

Hatch Restore 3
I think we received our first one from Hatch as baby gifts, but now that my kids are older, I was like,Well, I’ll just use it in my room now.I really love it. I have it set to red light at night, green light in the morning. I’ve got certain sounds that indicate certain things, and I’ve really adopted them as part of my evening and morning rituals. And actually, we’ve used it to train my kids. If the green light isn’t on and the birdies aren’t on, then you’re not allowed out of your room. Because they’ll wake up at 5 a.m. when I’m trying to do my workouts.
And then, for all of us adults, we are trainable as well. Once my evening sound goes on and that red light goes on, I’m like,Oh, I gotta get ready for bed. I gotta get my book out.It is a signal to me: Put your phone down, girl, and stop the emails. And sometimes it’s just that subtle environmental shift that actually changes our habits. The more you can use technology and integrate it into how you wanna feel at certain points of the day, I think that’s the best way to use it.
A jet-leg-prevention pack

I tried Flykitt recently for some business trips. You basically input your travel plans — like what flight you’re taking — and you upload it to the app. Then they’ll send you a specific vitamin protocol, when to take the vitamins, when to wear your red-light glasses to minimize jet lag. Where I really tested it was a 36-hour trip to London and back, and I had no jet lag. I felt amazing. I followed it by the book — if I was supposed to be wearing my glasses on the plane at a certain time, if I had to take the pills at a certain time. It even suggested when you should be taking caffeine, when you should be eating meals. And I really followed it to a T, and it made a huge difference. I mean, it was pretty remarkable. When I landed in London, it was bedtime in London, but it was when I would still be out wrestling with all the things in a New York day. And I felt ready for bed. I was like,This is bizarre.I’ve done nothing but be on a plane. I do that trip pretty regularly, and I’m usually up until 1 a.m. London time.
Her functional weighted vest

It’s so sleek. It looks badass, and it’s not so much weight that it takes it out of being functional. I can do Hyrox training. I can do runs with it. I really like it for hybrid training where I’m doing some running and some strength and body-weight movements — sled pushes, burpees, things like that. It just gives me an extra added stimulus that gives me an edge training for race day.

Kin Euphorics Actual Sunshine

Kin Euphorics Lightwave
I don’t drink, so it’s nice to see Kin in more and more places. I tried it for the first time maybe three years ago. I love that it comes already canned. It feels festive. A lot of mocktails are really just juice and sparkling water — which is fine, sometimes that’s a vibe — but I like that this is actually good for you and not super laden with a lot of sugar. TheSunshine oneis probably my favorite. If I am out and about, I’ll just drink it out of the can. But if I’m home, I add more sparkling water and lemons. I use it almost like a mixer. They don’t take up too much room, so we keep them in the fridge, and then if people come over, we have something to offer them instead of a bar.
Thewind-down oneis really nice. Sometimes, my cortisol’s really high if I teach later in the day or if I do a workout or a photo shoot or something that’s super energetic later in the day. So in the evening, it is actually very nice for winding down.
Her new plant-based (and protein-heavy) cookbook

New! You can now save this product for later.
I’m thrilled to getEat to Hustleout into the world with 75 plant-based, protein-packed recipes. I hope it dispels a very big myth that plant-based eating can’t be filled with protein, because it can be. And these are recipes that I have pressure-tested in my life as well as with my kids and with my family. Many of them are things that I meal-prep every week, like the tofu and the protein bread, or things that I have for lunch, like the burrito bowl. Plus the fun stuff that I prepare on weekends, like a whole Jewish lox and whitefish-salad spread, all vegan with tofu cream cheese, or red-bean-stuffed French toast. These are things that I’m not necessarily gonna make, like, Monday at 7 a.m., but I like having things in the repertoire that feel really festive but are still good for you. I think my favorite might be the crunch wrap. It’s divine. It tastes like a Crunchwrap from Taco Bell, but it’s infinitely better for you.
The book definitely includes my food philosophy. I have blurbs with every single recipe showing its macros and when I would use it. I wanted to take the confusion out of eating. We have entire charts in the book that show you how to prep grains and beans, how much protein somebody should be getting depending on their lifestyle, and how much of something you’re putting in your body is actually getting you closer to that number. It’s providing a little bit of a framework and trying not to complicate what feels to now be the very supercharged topic of protein. I still wanted it to be fun and playful but also useful. So it directly discusses my food philosophy and how I have been able to be a very high-functioning, high-performing plant-based athlete for over 12 years.
