Welcome to the Strategist’s first liveblog! When we found out Amazon had extended Prime Day from two to four whole days this year, we decided it was time for us to try something different too. Because we understand that, even just one day in, it’s easy to tire of yet another list of the 305 best Prime Day deals (though we’ll haveplentyof thoseacrossalmosteverycategory). So we’re going a little crazy for the next few days and pulling back the curtain to let you all the way into our sales inner sanctum. Read on for our live (almost) unfiltered thoughts, reactions, Slacks, and quick little last-second finds that might sell out at any moment — straight from the best deal-hunters in the business. Enter the Strategist hive mind.
And if you’d like to go straight to our constantly updating hub of all the best deals we’ve found, please be our guest.
It’s time for us to shut down this dear ol’ liveblog. It’s been an absolute pleasure to walk you though the longest Prime Day ever and give you a little peek into our sales inner sanctum. I feel like we’ve been through so much together! And also that I hardly knew ye! 🥲 I’m not sure when we’ll be back, but I don’t think it’ll be too long. Maybe October Prime Day. Maybe Black Friday. Either way, the sales will go on without me. Prime Day ends at 3 a.m. tonight, andNordstrom’s Anniversary Sale begins tomorrow.
Together, we’ll always have the memory of wiping Amazon’s entire Black Honey stock. And now, I sleep.

I always use Prime Day to save onhousehold essentialsandbeauty productsI’ll be buying soon anyway, but spending four days poring over good deals usually means a treat-myself purchase (or two) will slip into my cart, too. This year, that’s the wine decanter and blue fish-shaped pitcher that will match my blue-and-white-striped plates.

Hello from your bright-eyed and bushy-tailed London Strategist staffers. We’re stock- and price-checking on this last day of Prime Day, and the deals are still pretty good. One example: Ourbest-in-class soft-sided suitcase, which Strategist writer Erin Schwartz recently took on a three-week trip to Europe, is now discounted by a further $12.

The commenters have a lot to say about Moccamaster (yes, we’re still talking about Moccamasters)
We recently interviewed Kareem Rahma (theSubwayTakesguy) aboutall the things he can’t live without, one of which is hisyellow coffee machine (currently 33 percent off). The commenters had a lot of thoughts.

Unlike the Original Wayfarer Classics, which I bought many years ago and lost, these have a more oversize look, wider arms, and two dots on either side rather than the signature dash. They look more fashion-y than the classic style, and I always get compliments on them. (Guys also like them.) They also just work on my face. They fit snugly without being too tight, actually sit on my nose and not my cheekbones, and stay in place. After years of searching for the perfect sunglasses, I hadn’t realized that I had already found them.

I’m a big fan oflatex pillows, but they are unfortunately quite pricey — so even though 10 percent off isn’t a high discount, Naturepedic’s latex pillow is a deal you should jump on if you’re interested in a pillow made of cushy, springy natural rubber. Myfavoritelatex pillow, the Purple Harmony, is also on sale — though it’s notably more expensive (but worth it). Or, if you prefer a fluffier down-alternative style, a two-pack of Casper Original pillows is currently marked down to the lowest price we’ve seen on Amazon. And then there’s our good ol’ Beckham, the absolute best budget option — now even more affordable.
Kelsie Schrader,Sam Daly, andAlexandra Polkare the absolute best sales-finding team in the business. Like, you would literally not believe how much they know about price trends and specific brands’ sales habits. So I wondered: If they know so much about when things go on sale, would they ever dare buy something at full price? Here’s what they had to say:
Kelsie Schrader, managing editor:This is tough because I insist on a deal, but I think it’sOUAI Detox Shampoo, which I bought afterTembe Denton-Hursttalked about it in a pitch meeting. I was feeling mad at my hair and didn’t want to wait for a deal, so I just walked into a Sephora and bought it.
Alexandra Polk, deals writer:I started this job about five months ago and now rarely buy anything full price, but I am treating myself to a newFellow 20-ounce Carter Carry Tumbler(I let my last one get moldy and need to replace) because it’s the best water bottle I’ve ever owned. It’s the perfect size, it never spills, and I’m enamored with the briefcaselike handle — plus, the Sienna colorway is quite fashion-forward.
Sam Daly, deals editor:I buy boring household and techish stuff not on sale all the time. I got theseAnker lightning cables[Ed.’s note: They are currently on sale, sorry, Sam] and aBelkin surge protectorbecause I was desperate and, honestly, I rarely see them go on sale, so I figured I had nothing to lose.
Well, there you have it. The deals team impulse-buys just like the rest of us.
First I wrote about lesser-known camping trips. Now I’ve got everything you need to actually enjoy them.
(1) Adventurous, outdoorsy people with absurdly good tasteshare their hiking and camping destinationsthat take you into (somewhat undiscovered) nature but with excellent food and drinks nearby.
(2) Whatever you may need to enjoy that trip (or any summer fun, really)that’s on sale right now.

As we mentionedearly this morning, the Moccamaster has been fluctuating in price on Amazon in an extremely volatile way since it was originally listed as being 50 percent off yesterday. We’ve been keeping an eye on it since then, and while the exact colors and amounts still haven’t settled, I think it’s worth clicking through each one to find the best discount at any given moment. Right now, thejuniper green, matte black, andpolished silverare 45 percent off for $198; themidnight blue, pink, andbright yelloware 33 percent off for $240; theblack, matte silver, orange, pistachio, stone gray, turquoise, andbutter yelloware 30 percent off for $250. It’s also worth noting thatWilliams Sonoma,Sur La Table, andCrate & Barrelhave the machine on sale for a consistent $241 to $254 in most hues.

A few months back, I wrote about the one TV that every reviewer I’ve ever spoken with has recommended for as long as it has been available. Today, it’s cheaper than it’s ever been.
The LG C4 Evo comes from a long line of TVs featuring Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) screens datingback to 2012, when LG launched one of the first mass-produced sets using this technology at the staggering price of $10,300. It received universal praise from tech publications, with CNET, one of the leading TV reviewers at the time, describing it as “an utterly incredible screen” due to its precise color accuracy and unique ability to render true blacks onscreen. That wasn’t possible with the LCD technology behind most TVs sold then (and now). Over a decade later, OLED TVs arestillthe best-performing TVs available — and they are more affordable than ever.
