After more than 30 hours of scrolling, it’s time to wrap things up. But not without a few last-minute adds and updates to our collection of the60 things most worth your consideration this Prime Day(in our opinion). And a little reflection: Top-sellers include the now-sold-out magnesium-oil spray, thePurple Harmony pillow, and a bunch ofnoise-canceling AirPods. (Wishing you all a good night’s sleep.) If you’re a last-minute shopper, you’ve got alittlemore time; deals end tonight at 2:59 a.m. ET. Till next time!
Thefamous fleece-lined parka linehas added some barn jackets to the roster. Kind of Sézane-ish.
I know how to spot a good gift-y deal. To curate this year’s list, I’ve set some parameters: The item must be at least 20 percent off, must actually be something you’d be delighted to give and receive, and there should be a mix of price points for every budget. My list includes everything from some of ourfavorite skin careto ourBest in Class electric toothbrush.

Merrell Men’s Jungle Leather Slip-On Shoe
So many people in the Strategist universe wear Merrell:Sandy Liang,Nancy Pelosi,Kate Berlant. Here’s Berlant’s ode to the Jungle Moc (which originally appeared inSecret Strategist); she wears them onstage.
My lesbian boyfriend turned me onto these — I can take no credit for “discovering” them. However, it is worth noting that my father exclusively wore these for years and they are burned into my subconscious as a result. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I breezed through 25,000 steps in Paris in them and I want to trademark the term “the Merrell effect,” in which you are more likely to explore a city and perhaps accomplish more in life if you can remain this light on your feet. I once regarded them as sexless, but now see them as a direct portal to the erotic. Sometimes when I step into them, I shake my head in disbelief.
Now is a perfect time to pick up a discounted pair. (The black pair, in particular, is half off — here’s our full roundup ofhalf-off deals across the internet.) According to senior writer Michael Zhao, “any weather can be Jungle Moc weather. It’s more determined by mind-set than meteorology. But if I had to choose, I’d say, highs of 75 or lower.”

I firmly believe this is the time to shop for those everyday essentials you use on a regular basis. That applies to pretty boring basics like toilet paper, toothbrushes, vitamins, and other deeply unsexy stuff. You’ll see that almost everything I found is at least 20 percent off. The only exception is for stuff like toilet paper and tissues, which are just nice to get at a discount. And before you scroll through deals, I’d recommend you take stock of yourmedicine cabinetandcleaning suppliesand suss out exactly what you’re running low on and go from there.

Contributor Halley Furlong-Mitchell says that the “days I’ve used my sauna blanket have led to nights I’ve slept more deeply than ever. My mood is stabilized or instantly improved, and my skin has a radiance to it that I can’t attribute to anything else. I wax poetic about my sauna blanket to anyone who listens, and sometimes I just use it during colder nights as a way to warm up, not even for a full sweat.”
So far, I’ve found a sub-$200 cordless vacuum designed for pet hair, 20 percent off themini version of our favorite upholstery cleaner, and $100 off one of our newly mintedbest-in-class vacuums. If you see something you like, act fast — prices and stock can be swingy, and I’ve seen popular items sell out.

Yesterday, I spent hours scouring our site and the Amazon catalog for all the actually good discounts —at least20 percent off — that bring an item’s price down to $10 or less. There are $10 tees, $6 tubes of Aquaphor, and even an $8 mini LEGO set. Here are some of my favorites.

“It’s an AirPod Prime Day, I guess,” wrote managing editor Kelsie Schrader, perusing our list of most-sold items on Prime Day one. You also bought in droves: COVID tests, Crest Whitestrips, and chargers.
I basically buy Magna-Tiles only when they are on sale, as they often are on Prime Day, and this 30 percent-off construction set my son loves playing with is a very good deal. JBL’s Go 3 portable Bluetooth speaker, now 30 percent off, would make a great gift for tweens and teens who want to bring their favorite music with them everywhere they go.There are so many great LEGO deals that I wrote a whole other post about them, but the best is probably the forest-animals three-in-one set: Not only is it cheaper than usual and very giftable, you get three builds for the price of one.
My personal favorite stroller for everyday use is also on sale at a great price: The Joolz Aer+ is compact yet sturdy and smooth, and it’s currently 25 percent off, bringing it under $400.

Is it too early to start buying for December when you’re still prepping for Halloween? Probably yes. But is that any reason to let a great deal fall by the wayside? Definitely not. And a note — I’ve gifted bidets three times as housewarming gifts. Each time it gets a laugh and then, like clockwork, I’m told a few months later that the “gag” gift waslife-changing.

“I have a very small no-name cheap suitcase that will fit under the seat. I never check luggage, ever. If I need anything anywhere in the world, I buy it. It doesn’t make a lot of sense for me to travel with anything but my meds and a hairbrush. Nobody cares if you wear the same clothes day after day.”—SJR

The (maybe a placebo) magnesium oil we’re all spritzing on our feet is 20 percent off

After contributor Diksha Basu wrote about the magnesium spray that’s helping her fall and stay asleep, several of us tried it out too.
“It’d been nearly two months since my last full night of sleep when I readour ode to Salt Lab’s Magnesium Oil Spraylast week. Desperate for relief, I ordered a travel-size bottle to try it out for myself. It arrived the next day, and after spraying it on my feet that night, I slept for nine uninterrupted hours for the first time since last winter. I’m not here to tell you that this stuff cured my insomnia — if you go looking, there’s plenty of credible evidence that it’s just a placebo. But I also haven’t had a single sleepless night in the week since I started using it. If you’re curious to try it yourself, the normal-size bottle is on sale for Prime Day at its lowest price ever.”—MZ

Annoyingly, I bought this for $4 more last week. My daughter Andie deemed it the “perfect Wednesday dress.” It’s 100 percent poly and feels it — the short-sleeve version is softer (I bought both).

Amazon loves to inflate listing prices to make things seem like a far better deal than they are. Sure, that hand soap marked down to $3 from $7 seems like a good deal, but if you check Target, you’ll see that its regular price is $4. So when in doubt, Google the product to see what other retailers are charging and make sure you’re getting the best deal. Stay vigilant, folks.

One of my favorite Prime Day activities is poking around theluxury sales section. Who will buy thisHermès scarf($390, 20 percent off at checkout)? Consider thebedazzled Goldfish-cracker bag charm($66, also 20 percent off at checkout). Or you could get $1,000 off thisswishy Hervé Léger gown. I suggest sorting price from high to low and having some fun.

When I was updating thishub o’ fashion deals, I noticed that many of the sales are better than expected. A lot of Gap is around $5 to $10 cheaper than I thought it’d be (which makes a difference when you’re talking about already cheap Gap!). You should stock up on the Fitted Cami, which is marked down to single digits at exactly $7.48.

“Having been on the sleep-mask beat for over a year now, I have my fair share of sleep masks in my nightstand drawer. There’s theblackout Mantafor long flights, the weighted Nodpodfor nights when my mind is racing, andthe lightweight Brooklinenfor when I’m feeling low maintenance. But on top of my nightstand, you’ll find our favorite luxury sleep mask, the Drowsy, with its 360-degree pillowy padding, easy Velcro adjustability, and 100 percent light-blocking capabilities. The padded mulberry silk has a momme count — the technical term for the heft and weight of the material — of 22 (the industry average forsilk in generalis 19). And while it seems as though theShort n’ Sweetsinger sleeps with the brand’s original sleep mask in Dusty Gold, it might be time for someone to get herthe eyelash-protecting version.”
Earlier this year, junior writer Bella Druckman identified Sabrina Carpenter’s silk sleep maskin the background of an Instagram photo dump. It’s by Drowsy and iscurrently 25 percent off. Theeyelash-protecting versionis also similarly discounted.
