Editor’s note: Prime Day has officially started, so we’re no longer updating this early deals post. Find the best Prime Day deals for kids and babies here, and follow all of our Prime Day coverage for the best deals in every category.
Amazon Prime Day will run for a full four days this year, from Tuesday, July 8, at 3 a.m. ET to Saturday, July 12, at 2:59 a.m. ET. But there are already plenty of early Prime Day deals to consider. Tariffs have hit the baby-gear and toy industries particularly hard, raising prices on everything from strollers and baby monitors to the new toys that kids are clamoring for. So to help you make every dollar count, I’ve rounded up the best early Prime Day baby and kids deals I’ve found so far on products that are discounted by at least 20 percent. There’s a nice mix of products for new moms and children of all ages, many of which are things that I use with my own son daily or that have been recommended to me by fellow Strategist parents or another trusted source. I’ll be keeping my eye out for more worthwhile deals and updating the list below, so check back often for new stuff — and to make sure you don’t miss anything, sign up the Strategist Sales Alert newsletter as well as our regular email newsletter for exclusives.
Deals I personally think are the best
I spend a lot of time testing toys and baby gear with my 2.5-year-old son as my assistant. Based on that experience and the conversations I’ve had with thoughtful parents to kids of all ages, there are three early Prime Day deals I wouldn’t sleep on: the Joolz AER+ is one of my favorite strollers because of its smooth push, light weight, and impressively easy and compact fold; Magna-Tiles are wonderful but expensive open-ended building toys that don’t go on sale all that often; and the Amazon Basics walkie-talkies from our guide to the best outdoor toys are more than half off at just $7.

I used this travel version of our favorite Wi-Fi baby monitor last summer while visiting my parents in Connecticut and then packed it with me on the ferry for a visit to my in-laws on Long Island. The monitor fits neatly inside the included case plus you get a three-in-one sound machine, night light, and audio monitor as part of the bundle.

We recently cited these water-sandal-hiking hybrids as the “perfect summer sandal” for adults, but they’re even better for kids: sturdy, breathable, machine washable, and quick-drying, with a protective outsole and toe bumper to shield feet from inevitable trips and falls.

I’ve written a lot about the educational toys from Thames & Kosmos because while they teach kids real facts and concepts, they never feel boring. This model is especially thrilling because of its huge size; it’s over two feet long when finished.
