What Lily Rabe Can’t Live Without

When I discovered that these were clean and smelled really great, I just fell in love. The company is based in L.A., and the candles are all made with a soy-blend wax without any parabens or sulfates. They fill the house beautifully. The fig is my favorite. It has some musk and amber notes, both of which I’m a big fan of. It’s gentle, but you can smell it. It is that perfect balance. I’ll also travel with them when I go to set, because so often I’m in a slightly soulless living situation. Having acandleI love makes a place immediately feel like home. They also make one called Evergreen that I burn in the winter. It’s incredible because it smells like Christmas, but it’s not suffocating. It smells like a fresh tree. I love a cozy candle, especially when I’m in L.A. for the holidays and I’m missing the snow.

I started seeing Shani Darden for facials when she was still doing them in her guest house. She’s a genius. I’m in New York right now and haven’t seen her since I got here. I can feel the difference. I’m going to get to L.A. and go straight to her studio. She also makes this line of products, and I have them all. They’re really user-friendly. She doesn’t send you home with 25 things. For me, it’s unrealistic to do that twice a day. I can’t choose a favorite product, but this one is a standout. I noticed a difference immediately. It’s just very hydrating. Hamish was also using it, and was like, “Even my hands are soft from putting it on my face.”

I have really long hair and a lot of it. I’ll start the day with it down, but inevitably, when I’m not working, it finds its way up. These clips are beautiful. I first spotted them at Striiike in L.A., and then I started ordering them on my own. I always have one clipped on a bag or a shirt. They come in really vibrant colors, and I’ve curated a collection of them.

I’m more of a savory person than a sweet person, but I’ve always liked Swedish Fish. Every time I meet a person who’s into gummy candy, they are already hip to the fact that Swedish candy is the best. Hamish came home with these one day from a store in Los Feliz. Now it’s my favorite candy. These are better than ones you’d see at a gas station. I don’t want to say they’re good for you, but they’re better than most candy. They don’t have artificial additives or coloring, so I feel good eating them when I do.

This is a woman-owned company founded by Kristin Olszewski. I think I found out about it at a party where they had a luge that everyone was drinking this off of. It’s so good. When we host, we usually have the G-rated ice bucket for kids and then the booze ice bucket. These are easy to throw in, and they’re in really beautiful eco-conscious packaging. It’s always a hit at a party. I am awine snob— to a point — and the wine is really delicious. We also have it in the house, and they just disappear somehow.

I started using manuka honey when I was doing a play years ago and just never stopped. I drink a lot of tea, so I put it in mytea. Sometimes I’ll just do lemon and manuka honey and hot water, and it’s delicious. Also, it has all these wonderful benefits. It’s one of those things that everyone has something to say about why it’s special and why it’s good for you. I think it’s great for your voice and has all sorts of antimicrobial properties. And it also is delicious.

This is run by this woman named Kiane von Mueffling. She’s amazing. Everything on the site is incredibly classic; there’s a beautifulbutton-downand beautiful simple sweaters and T-shirts. But thistankis so good. The knit is thick, so I don’t wear a bra when I wear it. It feels perfect. I can’t get enough of them. I think I have it in every color, and I have the cropped and racer back and scoop ones. I’ve turned a lot of people on to them, and they always thank me.

Horror vacuiis a Latin phrase that means “Fear of empty spaces,” which I think is a great name for a clothing line. It is based in Germany, run by this amazing woman named Anna Heinrichs. There’s a whimsy to her pieces. If you wear one of her dresses, you will get a lot of compliments because they are very singular and imaginative. They’re definitely investment pieces. There is a pink velvet scalloped dress of hers that is unbelievable. I wore it to every holiday party the year I got it. I also wore it to the ballet. It is really special.

I can’t remember how I discovered the brand, but it just felt like the most luxurious pair ofpajamasI’d ever owned. They’re really chic. They’re designed so you can wear them to pick up or throw a trench over them and not feel like a schlep. I really do sleep in them, though, and I love staying in them all day. I don’t feel like I’m in my pajamas. I have gifted a pair to Hamish, and now he’s trying to steal myrobefrom the brand.

Mo Willems’s books are so wonderful. We readDon’t Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus!to my eldest so much that when she was just first talking, she would recite the book to us. Now, my children are 8, 4, and 3, and my stepdaughter is 18. The books make everyone at every age happy. He creates such a specific tone and world. My 8-year-old will read it to the 3- and 4-year-old. We’re in a house in New York right now because of the play. It’s a furnished rental, and the kids’ room has abookshelfwith an entire shelf of Willems. Everyone was so ecstatic. It felt like bringing the candle with me. My kids just immediately felt at home. They’re also such a go-to gift for us because they have the complete collection that you can give someone if you’re looking for a bigger gift, or you can just give them one of the books.

I use the bigger Hydroflask myself, but finding achidren’s water bottlethat didn’t spill in a backpack was a challenge. I definitely had some fails, and these are the answer. They don’t spill, and the kids can use them on their own. Also, they check all the things I care about: BPA-free, no lead in the sealing process, no plastic, and they’re stainless steel. At first I was getting them plain, and we were losing one or two a week. I’ve started paying a little extra for the engraving, and it is key. I don’t want my kids worrying about keeping track of theirwater bottlewhen they’re having whatever adventure, but I don’t want to lose the water bottle. Ultimately it’s saving me money, since people end up returning them.

I definitely am a bit of a princess and the pea with themattresssearch. Plus, Hamish likes one on the firmer side, and I like one that’s more forgiving but not super-soft. I spent hours, maybe months, in stores just going from mattress to mattress. This is the best one I found. It was a little bit of a risk, because I bought it without feeling it in person, but the company has a great return policy if you get it wrong. But we lucked out: It was the right firmness, it doesn’t have any coils, and it’s organic.
