56 Gifts for Moms (at Every Price Point)
In this article
I get more delight out of buying gifts for my mother than for anyone else (sorry, Dad). Part of that comes down to the challenge. What do you get someone when you’ve already exhausted every obvious gift option? So my philosophy now is to either go for something she needs (but hasn’t gotten around to buying) or surprise her with something she would never, ever buy for herself.
If you’re looking for new ideas, I found dozens of the best gifts for moms, including many that have been personally vetted by me and other Strategist staffers — from best-in-class pajamas to a slushie-making machine everyone wants. I made sure to search through our archives for unexpected-yet-delightful things (like a hammock for fruit) and clicked through hundreds of pages to find extra-giftable versions of everyday items, say a bath oil that smells like the Austrian pine forests or a blinged-out USB cord.
Each item happens to be available on Amazon for quick shipping (if you have a Prime membership). If you’re looking for more gift ideas ahead of Mother’s Day, we have a gifting hub featuring every gift guide we’ve written for the holiday.
