The Best Blue-Light-Blocking Glasses on Amazon, According to Hyperenthusiastic Reviewers

Here at the Strategist, we like to think of ourselves as crazy (in the good way) about the stuff we buy (like pillows), but as much as we’d like to, we can’t try everything. Which is why we have People’s Choice, in which we find the best-reviewed (that’s four-to-five-star reviews and lots of ’em) products and single out the most convincing. We’ve written a lot about things to make your workplace a little bit more comfortable — including ultrawide computer monitors, gaming chairs and ergonomic office chairs, even inoffensive office cardigans. Here, we’ve rounded up the best-reviewed blue-light-blocking glasses on Amazon, which claim to help with digital eyestrain from staring at computer screens during the day and regulate your circadian rhythms at night. (Note that reviews have been edited for length and clarity.)

Best-rated blue-light-blocking glasses

GAMMA RAY 003 Anti UV Glare Harmful Blue Light Computer Glasses

“At home, I use a program that filters out blue light, so I don’t need this product. At work though, I’m not allowed to download any programs and need admin permission, which they won’t give me, so I use these glasses. They work just as well as the program that I use for reducing headaches after staring at the screen for eight and a half hours a day. My smartwatch says that I sleep better on days that I remember to use these compared to days that I don’t. I wouldn’t spend more on more expensive glasses because these work well. Customers at work also don’t seem to notice the yellow tint and assume they’re my normal glasses.”

PROSPEK Premium Computer Glasses - Regular Size, Red and Black

“Love these glasses! I wanted blue-light-blocking glasses to help with my severe headaches. I can also feel a difference in the way my eyes feel at the end of the day. I’m on the computer for eight hours a day, six days a week, and I am looking at my phone screen all day as well. The glasses came with an ultra-thin case and a cloth. The lens have a blue glare but isn’t noticeable when wearing them. I really like that they have a slight bit of magnification to them. This was a great buy and I am glad I took the chance on these. Will be buying a second pair.”

LifeArt Blue Light Blocking Glasses

“I love these glasses. They are crystal clear, and the magnification that I need is perfect. I just needed a pair of readers that were a little more stylish than what you typically find at the drugstores. The only drawback is that they seem to smudge pretty easy, but they clean right back up to crystal clear status when I clean them. I have been wearing these glasses on a daily basis since I received them. They have withstood being dropped on numerous occasions on numerous hard surfaces and sustained no damage. Not even a scratch. Readers that I have owned in the past would have been scratched and broken by now. These are, by far, the best readers I have ever owned.”

J+S Vision Blue Light Shield Computer Reading/Gaming Glasses

“I love these glasses! I work at nighttime in an office with really bright fluorescent lights and two screens; we turn a third of the lights off and I showed everyone on my shift how to dim our screens to help with eyestrain, but I found I was still having frequent eyestrain and needing to massage my temples. We aren’t allowed to download blue light filters to help, either, and many of my co-workers suffer from frequent migraines. My eyes haven’t been in pain since I got these, and seriously, I forgot to wear them for about 20 minutes the other day, and my eyes were right back to feeling how they had. Since these are still fairly new, I couldn’t figure out why until I saw them sitting off to the side by my work phone! I have recommended these to all my co-workers who complain of eyestrain and migraines while at work, and let them try them. They’re all very impressed. Thank you for these awesome glasses, J+S! I may be ordering the higher color distortion lenses since my job does not rely on being able to discern colors closely; however, I am really very happy with these.”

Best amber-tinted blue-light-blocking glasses

Gamma RAY Blue Light Blocking Computer Gaming & TV Glasses

“Who knew that these would make such a difference. I thought for sure they would be a cheap version and not worth the very low price; however, they have been great. The case is terrific for keeping them safe and clean next to the computer, and within three nights of using them I could tell a difference. Love them and now wear them when reading at night as well. Color takes some getting used to but unless you’re working on photographs, you get used to it. I also have a rather large head and was worried these would not fit. Wrong again, they fit fine and are lightweight enough they don’t bother my nose or ears after hours researching things. Worth the money and then some.”

Swannies Blue Light Blocking Glasses

“Several have posted that after a few days or more they noticed the difference in that they slept better. I noticed the difference the moment I put the Swannies on my head. What I noticed was an absence of eyestrain that I wasn’t even aware of before I received this glasses. I do all my computer work and TV-watching now with these glasses on. I don’t know how else to describe it other than to say that my eyes feel more rested when using these glasses. Sure, it is just anecdotal and only my experience but I would definitely recommend them to anyone. As for fit: I started to purchase the large glasses originally, but instead got the regular size and they fit just fine. The metallic hinges on the glasses are spring loaded, so the glasses accommodate to the size of your face.”

Best wraparound blue-light-blocking glasses

Uvex Skyper Blue Light Blocking Computer Glasses with SCT-Orange Lens, 3-Pack

“I bought these only to wear in the house from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and help me fall asleep at night. I have serious ‘busy brain’ before going to bed and these help my brain calm down, shut down, and I actually get sleepy wearing them. I can watch TV, work on the iPad, and get ready for the morning routine with these and the regular white lights on without impairing my ability to fall asleep when my head hits the pillow. I bought the three-pack so I would always have a pair within reach when it was time to put them on.”

Best orange-tinted blue-light-blocking glasses

Blue Blocking Amber Glasses for Sleep - BioRhythm Safe

“I’ve been surprised at how comfortable these amber glasses feel. They are just right on my ears and nose, and wrap around to keep out blue light. I had been concerned that working late on my computer would damage my natural sleep-wake cycle, but now I can work guilt-free. My family even tells me I look cool in them! The quality is better than I expected for the price; I’m glad I didn’t spend nearly twice the amount because these glasses are excellent in every way I could imagine.”

Best anti-glare blue-light-blocking glasses

Cyxus Blue Light Filter Computer Glasses

“These are actually amazing. I never realized how many headaches I got from blue light and bright headlights and bright lights in general until I started wearing these. They have no glare or color to the lenses like some brands. They are a little large so they have kind of a hipster-nerd look, but I think they’re very cute.”

Best wire-rimmed blue-light-blocking glasses

ANRRI Blue Light Blocking Computer Glasses

“I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the quality and performance of these glasses definitely outweighed what I thought I’d experience. They’re super stylish, high-quality, and I haven’t been getting technology-related headaches since I’ve started using them. I own an online business, so I’m constantly on my phone and computer and these babies did wonders for me. I can even binge-watch my favorite Netflix shows on my TV without getting eye-strain, which was an added bonus. Definitely would recommend these to anyone who gets headaches from screens or is blue-light sensitive.”

Best clip-on blue-light-blocking amber lenses

BioRhythm Safe Clip-on Blue Blocking Amber Lenses for Sleep

“These are very, very high-quality clip-ons. They are very orange and should do a good job of block the blue light from the LEDs that light my desk and my bedside lamp. The only thing I don’t like is they are not flip-up, as I’m constantly up and down from my desk, and in the winter when it’s dark here in the Pacific northwest in the daytime, I have to constantly remove them. Luckily, the attachment mechanism is spring-loaded, so I can move the clips away from the glasses lens so that when they are removed and reinstalled, they don’t scratch my glasses.”
