Here at the Strategist, we like to think of ourselves as crazy (in the good way) about the stuff we buy, but as much as we’d like to, we can’t try everything. Which is why we have People’s Choice, in which we find the best-reviewed products and single out the most convincing. While we’ve covered the best wireless keyboards, here we’re zeroing in on the best wireless mouses, as reviewed on Amazon, to help you be as wire-free as possible. Best overall mouses

VicTsing Wireless Mouse and Mouse Pad Set
$13 at Amazon

“This is the best mouse I have used in a very long time. You wake it by clicking on the left button. It sleeps on its own. It is very precise. I had forgotten what a great mouse can feel like. I love not having to find a button to turn it on and off. Mouse freedom!! Really, it’s a great mouse and the pad is great as well. My husband is trying to break his so I will buy him one of these.”

VicTsing 2.4G Wireless Mouse
$9 at Amazon

“I like this cordless mouse so much I keep buying them! They are fast and the way they are designed, it is more comfortable than other mouses. It is curved so you cup the mouse. What I truly appreciate is the auto sleep mode, if it isn’t used, it goes to sleep. You wake it with a simple click. I do some graphics work and this is more comfortable that others. It’s a bigger mouse than most, but it isn’t huge like gamer mouses.”

VicTsing MM057 2.4G Wireless Mouse
$10 at Amazon

“Fantastic! My trackball mouse died and I needed a replacement, but no time to shop, so I decided to order a cheaper mouse to use until I had more time to research. I happened upon this one for $9.99 and figured it would do for a while and then serve as a backup mouse. But, after using it a week, I have to say, I’m NOT going to look for a new mouse, this one is great!! It even puts itself to sleep after eight minutes of disuse, giving it extremely long battery life. It’s wireless, has five adjustable DPI levels, six buttons, and turns itself off when you turn off the computer. I highly recommend this mouse. You cannot beat it for the price, and the quality is excellent.”

TeckNet Alpha Ergonomic 2.4G Wireless Optical Mobile Mouse
$10 at Amazon

“This is the very best mouse I’ve ever owned all the way back to 1983 when I first started building my own computers at home. I have three dead Microsoft mice in front of me right now. I’ve purchased Logitech mice and keyboards, and I did not like them either. This mouse works well at 35 feet, the greatest distance I can go and still see my computer monitor to know the mouse is responding. I know it can go farther, but there is no need for it. It doesn’t consume much power as it goes in standby quite often. I like the different resolution settings. I cannot think of anything to improve on this mouse. It’s that good. I plan to purchase several more of these marvelous mice for my four other computers and a spare or two. The price is very good versus this wonderful performance. This is the one to own and keep.”

Best ergonomic mouses

7Lucky Vertical Mouse
$20 at Amazon

“This is how the mouse should have been designed from the beginning. It places the wrist and arm in so much more of a natural and comfortable position. When I bought it I figured there would be some adjustment to using it, but that’s not the case at all. I unpacked it and immediately started using it with no awkwardness. It just feels natural! I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this mouse. At this price point my expectations were not high — but the quality of this mouse is! Very smooth scrolling and clicking, and the cursor glides across the screen. There are no cons to this mouse in my book.”

Logitech Wireless Trackball M570
$60 at Amazon

“I cannot express enough how great these mice are. I keep buying them since the only required movement is your thumb, index and middle fingers. They are perfect for those that do not want to suffer from carpal tunnel. My arm just sits on the desk and my fingers do the rest of the work with the mouse. It has two programmable keys and runs on one AA battery that lasts for several months, literally. It is cordless with a USB Bluetooth receiver that can be programmed to control several more Bluetooth devices. It is worth every penny. No software needed. I still have not found a mouse I like more than this one or this style.”

Best patterned mouses

Logitech M325 Wireless Mouse Zany
$21 at Amazon

“I just purchased this mouse and I love it! The size is perfect and the added graphics match my Mac. The graphic design (or color) IS especially pertinent my home or in a home with multiple computer users and multiple devices as it helps to quickly identify which mouse aligns to the correct machine. I’ve always had superior experiences with Logitech; I’m hopeful this will be the same.”

Logitech M317 Wireless Mouse
$14 at Amazon

“I saw this gorgeous mouse and fell in love! It’s just as colorful and sharp in person as the pics too, and has not faded a bit. It’s a smaller-size mouse, a great travel size, or, if you have smaller hands, it’s a perfect fit. I love how tiny the USB plug-in is compared to others that stick out and get in the way. Long battery life, mostly if you turn it on and off. The mouse roller spins faster than I’m used to, but it’s super smooth and I like the option to roll it really fast to get from top or bottom of the page in lightning speed. Yet a comfortable slow roll too, once you get the hang of it. Logitech has been my go-to mouse brand for years now and they’ve all been great. Now that they offer these AMAZING prints, I can’t wait to buy a few for gifts!”

Logitech Play Collection M325c Mouse
$12 at Amazon

“This mouse is not only adorable to look at but functions like a dream. I’m in a job where I travel from building to building for various meetings with my laptop and mouse. This little mouse travels well, has great battery life, and has worked and responded to every surface I’ve attempted to use it on. Just about every meeting I go to I receive compliments on how cute my mouse is. I would buy this product again in a heartbeat and would recommend it to anyone who is sick of traditional cable mouses and wants a little pop of color in their workday!”

Best plain mouses

Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 1850
$10 at Amazon

“Great-working basic mouse. It does everything I need from a mouse. I have used some off-brand wireless mouses and always had some problem. I like the on/off switch and the nano transceiver being stored inside the battery compartment. Clicking is almost silent and the scroll wheel is rubberized and also silent. This mouse also has Microsoft BlueTrack technology so you can use it on almost any surface except clear glass. You can’t beat this mouse for quality, features, and price.”

Logitech Wireless Mouse M185
$13 at Amazon

“This is a great mouse. It comes with a battery, and is ready to use. It is the lightest mouse I have ever felt. When I got it, I thought it didn’t have a battery in it because it was so light. It is very small, compact and portable as well. I love the feel of the mouse, and it looks great too. Also, the wireless feature is the best. You don’t have to deal with an annoying wire. Also, the wireless USB receiver is under the cover next to the battery. It is great for storage or travel.”

VicTsing 2.4G Slim Wireless Mouse
$8 at Amazon

“I really like this VicTsing wireless mouse. I like the slim design because it fits into my computer bag better than my previous one. I love the silent click — no more annoying click sounds all day long. I also like the battery saving auto-sleep, which turns back on as soon as you tap the mouse button. It’s easy to use and has a cool design. I would definitely recommend this mouse.”

Jelly Comb 2.4G Slim Wireless Mouse
$10 at Amazon

“Perfect for the budget-conscious, no-frills user. I use my computer for work, email, and surfing the web. When I saw the gazillion items that came up when I searched ‘wireless mouse,’ I just took a deep sigh. I thought ‘Listen, I just want a frickin’ wireless mouse that works and that isn’t annoying.’ This little number is sleek, simplistically attractive, the wheel is great, the piece that plugs into the USB port is small enough where you can leave it in all the time and there’s a great storage place in the mouse for it too. And it’s CHEAP! This mouse is perfect for me and I’d recommend it to anyone. And I’d buy it again.”

Best gaming mouse

VicTsing Wireless Gaming Mouse
$17 at Amazon

“This mouse is nothing short of sensational when using it. It’s extremely responsive with no lag at all and has silent click! No need to worry about waking up the family while browsing the web with this silent beast. It’s built exceptionally well and feels superb while in hand. It’s kind of a letdown that it’s NON-rechargeable and totally reliant on one AA battery with no USB port. Even with that shortcoming I still feel like this mouse is an extraordinary deal for what you are getting. I’d recommend this device to anyone looking for a great mouse at an affordable price point.”
